Max Shifman joined DVExperts International Pty Ltd in July 2004. Max completed his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Monash University in 2004 with First Class Honours, and is one subject from completing his Law degree. The unique combination of Law and Engineering studies gives Max a broad understanding, yet a legally focused perspective on various DVE projects and investigations. His final year Engineering thesis, entitled "Engineering Issues Omitted in Coronial Inquests into Roadside Hazard Fatalities", examined some of the shortcomings of rural road design and the power of the Victorian state coroner to instil changes in the legal framework. Since joining DVE, Max has been involved in hundreds of different cases. These have ranged from car, motorcycle, bus and truck collisions, pedestrian impacts, ATV rollovers, occupational health and safety, and engineering system failures. Max has also completed a 5-day Technical Accident Investigation & Reconstruction Course held by the Society of Automotive Engineers - Australasia. Max is also responsible for the Business Development in Australia and Internationally of DVExperts.
