Edward Jensz has in excess of 35 years’ experience working in the tyre manufacturing industry. Ed graduated from mechanical engineering at the Gordon Institute of Technology, Geelong and commenced employment in 1972 for the Olympic Tyre and Rubber Company as a trainee tyre engineer in their R&D department. Since then, Ed has held roles for numerous tyre manufacturers, including in Research and Development and Tyre Technical operations, reporting both to the technical and manufacturing divisions.
Ed’s work experience has covered all areas, from working on the floor, direct manufacturing experience from rubber mixing, tyre component preparation and tyre assembly, tyre moulding, final finish, tyre inspection, testing and warehousing. He has designed, developed, purchased, commissioned and installed tyre manufacturing equipment.
In 1999, Ed began consulting in the Chinese tyre industry as Engineering Director of Guizhou Tyre Company. Whilst at Guizhou, Ed helped commission a new all steel radial truck tyre plant, which included the completion of the building and ordering initial manufacturing equipment. The project was completed in just three years with the plant attaining continuous operation status.
Ed’s specialist expertise is in the areas of tyre construction and uniformity (Vibration prevention), tyre assembly machines, tyre moulds and industry specific tyre manufacturing, testing and inspection equipment. Ed has maintained his relationships with the Technical R&D divisions in the industry and keeps informed of the latest changes in tyre technology.
Ed brings to Delta-V Experts a specialised knowledge of all areas of tyre performance and manufacture. He also consults to the tyre industry in Australia and world-wide.
