Delta-V Experts has been named as a finalist in the 2009 Victoria Division Engineering Excellence Awards.

Rollovers account for some 2% to 3% of all crashes, yet represent nearly one-third of all crash-related fatalities. In rural locations, rollover crashes represents approximately 50% of all crashes.
Resource companies have identified rollover crashes as a major Occupational Health and Safety risk, and hence a priority for risk reduction. Delta-V Experts (DVE) provide design solutions in Roll Over Protective Structural (ROPS) systems that save lives.
The innovations presented by DVE are fourfold:
- Setting and clearly defining a new benchmark for performance requirements and testing for the design of effective ROPS systems. This was much needed in an international context as current standards are limited and deficient.
- Designing a unique, high performance ROPS which has been thoroughly dynamically modelled and tested. The full scale rollover testing of the DVE designed ROPS is the most stringent rollover testing carried out anywhere in the world.
- Facilitating and quality checking the manufacture of some 2000 DVE ROPS fitted to a variety of vehicle various countries around the world, with many more to be fitted.
- The development of robust and effective ROPS development process.
DVE has demonstrated and provided world leading leadership in establishing what is needed for effective rollover protection, successfully implemented these requirements on vehicle fleets and demonstrating via real world data that, without any doubt, DVE ROPS save lives.
The Award Dinner will be held at the Crown Palladium on 17 September 2009.
